Sherburne Slater Construction was founded on the idea of providing unbeatable service and value to a select client base. We provide the quality, expertise, and experience you would expect from a large construction company, while also providing the attention to detail and personal experience you’d expect from a smaller company. We bring the knowledge, experience, and tenure of successfully completing over $750 million in commercial, medical, industrial, retail, and multi-family projects as both project managers and superintendents.

By keeping our overhead low, we are able to pass the savings onto our clients. As company presidents, Erik Slater and Nate Sherburne will both take lead roles in your project and will work in tandem with our team of professionals to provide top-notch service, quality, and communication for your project.

WHAT WE DO

We specialize in ground up, remodel, and tenant improvement, design/build commercial construction in the Twin Cities Area. We build offices, warehouses, fitness studios, restaurants, daycare’s, retail, storage facilities, health care facilities, multi-family structures, etc. Essentially, if it’s a non-residential project we would love to build it for you.

WHAT SEPARATES SSC FROM GENERAL CONTRACTORS

As any other business owner knows, running a business is not a job it’s a lifestyle.  Erik, Nate and Meghan genuinely love to build, they enjoy the process of construction and welcome the daily challenges of a construction process head on.  They also know how important capital is for everyone business and pride themselves on handling our clients money as shrewdly as if it were our own.  While other companies may manage your project with a project manager that is not invested in your project, the passion that Nate and Erik have for every project we build shines through with top notch project management and customer service, all while maintaining the project budget.

WHAT DOES DESIGN/BUILD MEAN

Design/build means we collaborate with our clients, architects, and sub-contractors to help guide the project design to ensure that final plans not only provide a space and/or building that our client loves, but also that the project remains on budget.

Yes, we definitely can help.  We work closely with several of the best architecture firms in town and in most cases we can help provide you with a project plan and budget after a quick 30 minute meeting.

HOW BIG OR SMALL ARE THE PROJECTS WE TAKE

We regularly complete projects ranging from $20,000 to $5,000,000 and everything in between.  We can handle projects up to $10,000,000 but projects in the $100,000 to $1,000,000 range seem to be our sweet spot where we provide unbeatable pricing and value for our clients.
